Picture postcard weather, sold out gondola tickets and some of the biggest crowds Aanoch Mor has ever seen in it’s hosting history and we were already off to a legendary start in the Highlands.
Fort William is know for extremes and this time we got heat and dust instead of rain and wind.
It was definitely a weekend of extremes and not only when it comes down to the weather. The whole team never witnessed such highs and lows within one weekend. Matt Walker suffered an injury earlier this season in Lourdes and he just managed to fight his way back for Fort William. Unfortunately he went down hard on Fridays training. After a quick check in the hospital another bummer. He broke his shoulder blade plus his finger again… gutted.
In the mean time Greg took part in Saturdays seeding and finished in 7th place. A brilliant base for Sundays race.
Race day in Fort William is always special. You wont find a bigger, louder and more excited crowd anywhere else. Especially for Greg; It was a race on home soil. After 4:41.788 minutes of breath taking action Greg finished in 7th place in front of his family, friends and his team.
The wohl team is more than proud to announce Greg Williamson is current 6th in the overall ranking.
